Effect of Annealing on the Structural and Optical Properties of ZnO/ITO and AZO/ITO Thin Films Prepared by Sol-Gel Spin Coating

This paper aims to investigate the effect of annealing on structural and optical properties ZnO/ITO AZO/ITO thin films. In preparation ZnO AZO films, zinc acetate dehydrate (Zn(CH3COO)2.2H2O), ethanol, diethanolamine (DEA), AlCl3 were used as a starting material, solvent, stabilizer, dopant sources, respectively. Both films fabricated ITO (indium tin oxide) substrates using spin coating technique at room temperature with rotating speed 3,000 rpm in 30 s. The heated various temperatures range 400 - 600 °C for 60 min. crystallite size film is calculated Debye-Scherrer Williamson-Hall Methods. Based UDM results, increases after comparison before annealing. From UV-Vis measurements, there was an increase transmittance value samples from 40 % approximately 80 90 %, respectively valued both mainly due improvement crystalline phase these band gap energy reduced increasing temperatures, 3.26 eV 3.19 3.23 °C.
